Bridge Point Church exists to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We are an independent church based on the Bible and the life transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ it shares.
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, eternal Word of God.
Psalm 119:89, 160; Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21
The Trinity
We believe that there is one true God, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:27-28; 2:20b-24; Psalm 139:7; Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 5:18, 23; 10:29-30; 1 Corinthians 2:10-11; 7:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:5-12; 9:14; 13:4
Jesus the Son
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Matthew 1:22-23; 3:16-17; 28:5-7; John 1:1-5; 20:28; Acts 1:9-11; 2:32- 33; Romans 3:25; 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 4:8-10; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
Salvation Through Faith
We believe that salvation is by faith alone through grace alone. Both justification and sanctification are the works of the Holy Spirit in those who trust in Jesus.
John 3:5-6; Galatians 3:2-3; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 3:5-6; 1 Peter 1:2
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit abides in believers and empowers them through the operation of His Gifts and Fruit.
Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-15; 15:18-19; 1 Corinthians 12:22; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 3:14-19; 5:18-20
Water Baptism and Communion
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public statement of faith after accepting Christ’s gift of salvation. We also believe in communion as a reminder of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
Matthew 26:26-29; 28:19; Acts 2:36-41; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
The Church's Mission
We believe in obeying the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. The worldwide body of Christ is united in its mission to share the Gospel that transcends denomination, language and borders.
Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:28-31
Giving and Service
We believe that believers who are experiencing an inner transformation from the Holy Spirit will begin to freely express their gratitude to God through the practice of generosity and service in the Body of Christ.
Joshua 22:25; Mark 10:45; Acts 4:34; 20:35; 2 Corinthians 2:7; Galatians 5:13; Philippians 2:4; 1 Peter 4:10
